Ted Dhanik is president and executive vice president of business development at engage: BDR and is also the co-founder of the company. During his five years as a senior leader at engage: BDR, Dhanik has managed strategic marketing, sales and business development, client relationship management, and content acquisition.
Engage: BDR is a leading integrated-media advertising company that offers a large suite of marketing solutions to companies around the world. According to the company website, most of their solutions are designed to deliver direct response campaigns, and they offer scalable results through “premium inventory, targeting capabilities, efficient pricing, and proprietary technology.”
Dhanik launched engage: BDR in 2007, following a five year stint at MySpace.com. While at MySpace, Dhanik was a member of the strategic marketing team and developed a specific combination of on- and offline campaigns responsible for launching the brand in its infancy. Also at MySpace, Dhanik created, produced, and acquired content and promotion tactics with a focus on sponsored integrated programs, such as T-mobile, and Dentyne.
Before MySpace.com, Dhanik joined LowerMyBills.com, where he held a range of leadership positions in business development. Dhanik created and launched the firm’s home equipment product, and recovered the company’s poorest performing product from $2 million a year to more than $50 million in the first year alone.
Dhanik landed his business development position with LowerMyBills.com after proving to be a valuable employee at Nextag.com. While at Nextag.com, Dhanik helped launch the company’s consumer lending business. He was also responsible for helping the company grow into what it is today, a company in competition with Lending Tree and LowerMyBills.com.
Active in the industry, Dhanik serves on the board or advises for several companies, including Start Engine, Schizo Pictures, LottoGopher, and Fighter.
