What is it like being a PA to the Billionaire Len Blavatnik?

Nikki Burg is the personal assistant to the businessman, Russian-born Len Blavatnik.

Burg says that discretion is everything. Although the 40-year-old has one of the best jobs in London she does want to dispel some rumors that are part and parcel of being a PA to one of the wealthiest businessmen in the world.

She says that successful and wealthy people are all unique and the industries they work in be it financial services, manufacturing, creative industries or politics, will affect how they would like to be treated and what they expect of you.

Burg is launching a training program that will provide the necessary skills to those who want a career in being a personal assistant. The training program will be initiated by the training arm of the recruitment firm Anderson Hoare. The one-day training program will offer advice and tips on some issues and provides an overview of how to work with bosses who have a high net worth and who are celebrities.

Nikki Burg’s says that her experience with the Blavatnik and her dealings with Access industries has taught her that as a PA you should possess a good sense of humor and never be afraid of your boss. If you are scared of your boss, the chances are that they will lose respect for you.

Billionaire Blavatnik is the founder and chairman of Access Industries and is ranked 132 in the Forbes 2009 rich list, with a net worth of $4bn. Burg says that working with Blavatnik is not easy, but this makes the position challenging and enjoyable. Burg says that she is also involved in many of Blavatnik’s charities which includes the Blavatnik Harvard projects.
